For daily and lifetime ads, you can tell Facebook when specifically you’d like the ad to run. By default, if you are running a daily ads budget, Facebook suggests to run the ad continuously. Otherwise, you can choose to start and end the ad on a specific day. (Facebook runs the math here for you and tells you the maximum amount, total, you will spend.) Do Facebook Ads Work 2019?

The upper copy is a little ambiguous. To me, the connection between “taking care of your needs” and operating an ecommerce business isn’t immediately obvious, but overall, this is another great example of how Facebook’s visual ads can fit well in users’ News Feeds, leverage aspirational messaging to great effect, and how brand continuity across multiple ads can be very compelling and effective. Exclamation marks FTW: Did you notice the exclamation mark at the end of the ad headline? That’s no coincidence. Exclamation marks make us more alert and attentive to messages. That being said, don’t abuse exclamation marks either. As New York Magazine’s The Science of Us writer Melissa Dahl pointed out, “The exclamation mark, once reserved for expressing joy or excitement, now simply marks baseline politeness.” In other words, hacks only work if you don’t overexploit them. Does Facebook pixel only track traffic from Facebook?

Text on the image: If you’re careful not to cross Facebook’s rule against text-heavy ad images, this can work to your advantage. Advertising legend David Ogilvy commissioned research that discovered people typically look at the image first, even before scanning the headline. Using text on an image could help to make more people notice your message.

How much should you pay for Facebook advertising? Is Facebook’s automatic or manual bidding better? How to set up your ad budgets in the Ads Manager? We’re going to answer all these questions in this chapter. Did we mention that you’ll also learn about other technical aspects such as ad delivery optimization? – If you want to get great Facebook campaign results, you’ll need to know how to use it.
After setting audience and budget, you can build the ad’s creative elements. For the “Increase app engagement” ad type, the settings here are the exact same as they are for the “Get app installs” ad type. The main difference between the two is in the destination and goal for each. For app installs, you’ll typically be interested in gaining more point-of-entry signups, linking to the installation page for your app.

The copy above the image may seem minimal, but the ad very cleverly uses words like “discover” to create a sense of intrigue and hint at the potential sense of satisfaction users could experience by using the app. In addition, clearly stating that the Heal service operates on an on-demand basis aligns closely with the expectation of convenience that is rapidly becoming the norm for virtually all service-based businesses. Finally, the ad doesn’t just promise a house call by any doctor, but a great doctor, another subtle but compelling word choice that contributes to the overall success of the ad. Facebook Advertising: How To Analyze Your Facebook Ad Data In The Ads Manager - Advanced Analysis
In the media section you’ll decide on the image that you want to use in your ad. The recommended size for this image is 1080 pixels by 1080 pixels. (Though this would depend on your ad placements) The image MUST contain LESS THAN 20% text! (If you plan on using text in your image, Facebook has a very cool tool that will help you work around the 20% text overlay rule)

Now there is one other thing worth mentioning here.  There is an optional section where you can set a limit for the campaign.  How much you spend is usually managed in the next section at the Ad Set level.  However if you know with certainty that you have exactly $100 to spend on this campaign and you don’t want to spend any more.  You can set that amount here.  To set a limit at the campaign level the minimum amount is $100.

Video Ads have a GIF or video as the centerpiece of the advertisement, and can be used to demonstrate a product or event. Video Ads help you form deeper connections with your audience by aligning your brand with a type of content online users are quickly consuming more of (nearly 80% of all data consumed on mobile devices will be in video form by 2021, according to a Facebook study).

Simplify, simplify, simplify: If your ads are too complicated to understand in a few seconds, people give up as quickly as they started reading in the first place. Sometimes it makes sense to leave some ideas unmentioned in the ad and explain everything in depth on your landing page. A study showed that 59% of people actually never read more than the headline of a Facebook share, so yes, you want to be brief.

Test fun ideas: It’s safe to say that our holiday calendar of marketing gifographics was the first of its kind. When you A/B test your ads. The goal is to see which image, video, audience, font, color, ad copy, etc gets you the highest click through rate(CTR) or call to action(CTA). I typically perform A/B testing on two images at a time. Running too many variations can interfere with results. After running these ads simultaneously for 5 days, we learned that Ad B had 55 clicks to the website, while Ad A had only 5. The men’s grooming industry is a billion-dollar business (expected to bring in approximately $21 billion in revenue this year alone), making it a tough market for businesses offering men’s grooming products. That hasn’t stopped one of the industry’s biggest players, Dollar Shave Club, from differentiating itself in an increasingly crowded market, however.

The headline likely does exactly as intended — entices people to think about the ability of people to find their business online. This is extremely important for business owners with an online presence. The post text elaborates on this thought, asking prospects if their customers can find them online. By adding “when they need you most,” the company does a great job of playing off of people’s emotions.
This ad gets it right on so many levels. For one, there’s the implied reference to Norman Bates’ unhealthy devotion to his mother, a crucial pop-cultural element of the Psycho franchise that even those who haven’t seen the show may be familiar with. This subtle reference not only “softens” the ad, making it more approachable, but also fits perfectly with the implicitly creepy tone and style of the ad. 3 Simple Steps to Marketing Your Mobile App | Get More Exposure and Installs!
