This is a very good question. From my experience, it doesn’t matter what industry you are in, or how much marketing budget you have. I would always suggest that if it’s the first time running the ad – Budget $5-10 a day(estimated average daily reach of 540-2,700 people) and run the ad for 7 days. This will give you feedback on how the ad is converting, and how it’s resonating with your audience.
This photo ad by the The New York Times is driving traffic to a written article with an intriguing illustration. The drawing literally depicts the article's ideal audience -- millennials. For young readers who are even a little interested in health and fitness, this cartoon (along with the enticing headline) pokes just enough fun at them to get their attention.
Facebook supports multiple advertising types across Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network and Messenger. Each ad has two components: The format (what it looks like) and the placement (where it will be displayed). When you’re creating your ad, you may need to find specific info about the type of ad you’re creating, like what size your image should be or how many characters you can use.
If this, then that: Nope, we’re not talking about the popular productivity tool, but you’re close. SumoMe’s ad text reads, “If you want viral growth you need this tool”. What happens is that people think, “Yes, I want viral growth,” and are immediately presented with SumoMe’s software as a solution. First, mention something that you think potential target audiences might need. Then present your product as the best possible solution.
The headline likely does exactly as intended — entices people to think about the ability of people to find their business online. This is extremely important for business owners with an online presence. The post text elaborates on this thought, asking prospects if their customers can find them online. By adding “when they need you most,” the company does a great job of playing off of people’s emotions.

I did want to mention a recent test that I did where in addition to the call to action below, I placed a link in the text area above the image.  The result out of 5000 clicks? Only 5% of the clicks came from the link up top.  95% of the clicks came from the call to action below.  I believe that people are becoming conditioned to engage that section of an ad. Exclamation marks FTW: Did you notice the exclamation mark at the end of the ad headline? That’s no coincidence. Exclamation marks make us more alert and attentive to messages. That being said, don’t abuse exclamation marks either. As New York Magazine’s The Science of Us writer Melissa Dahl pointed out, “The exclamation mark, once reserved for expressing joy or excitement, now simply marks baseline politeness.” In other words, hacks only work if you don’t overexploit them.
How much should you pay for Facebook advertising? Is Facebook’s automatic or manual bidding better? How to set up your ad budgets in the Ads Manager? Facebook can be an instant source of traffic to your website.  It can be an immediate source of leads for your business with verified contact information like name email address and phone number. It can allow you to 'retarget' and re-engage with your visitors (and soon-to-be buyers) who have abandoned your website, shopping cart, sales funnel, or anywhere else you are engaging with your audience.
Colors matter: Do you remember the last ad that caught your attention in the Facebook news feed? Chances are that it was brightly colored and highly contrasted. Research has found that people make up their minds within 90 seconds of their initial interactions with either people or products. About 62‐90% of their assessment is based on colors alone. So yes, you should probably create more colorful Facebook ads if you haven’t done that already.

Finally, the ad doesn’t just promise a house call by any doctor, but a great doctor, another subtle but compelling word choice that contributes to the overall success of the ad. For one, there’s the implied reference to Norman Bates’ unhealthy devotion to his mother, a crucial pop-cultural element of the Psycho franchise that even those who haven’t seen the show may be familiar with. This subtle reference not only “softens” the ad, making it more approachable, but also fits perfectly with the implicitly creepy tone and style of the ad.

Headlines aren’t supposed to tell your entire story — they’re simply meant to grab visitors’ attention and make them want to click your ad to learn more. Making your headline too long could cause users to lose focus and attention, and you to miss out on ad clicks. Instead, aim for a headline around five words, making it clear, concise, and UVP-focused, and then include the remaining important information in the post text or link description.
