Or, perhaps adding social proof will help -- something like, "Sandwiches loved by over one million people every year! Come try yours today and get 20% off your order with this coupon." This subtle reference not only “softens” the ad, making it more approachable, but also fits perfectly with the implicitly creepy tone and style of the ad. Facebook Tracking Update! The ad copy pokes fun at other grooming product companies while implying Dollar Shave Club’s progressive attitude in the first two sentences, immediately setting itself apart from companies like Gillette, which have begun to eat into Dollar Shave Club’s dominance of the grooming products sector with gender-specific products that strongly conform to typical norms (the “pink” razors the ad makes fun of).
I usually don’t notice sidebar ads but this one caught my eye. I usually don’t recommend clothing ads without models but this one popped with the simple addition of the purple background. If you don’t have the budget to take model photos or if your manufacturer only supplies pictures without models, feel free to add a colored background to make the picture pop against a plain white background. What I love about Sephora is how much they experiment. I always get Sephora ads but they’re never the same. They constantly show different products, have different offers, unique copy and more. Look at how the products are laid out on the graphics. They position the products at certain angles or create a visually stimulating graphic. The foundation or lip color is spread so you can better see what it looks like, but it also helps the graphic look better. They don’t just take plain product photos, they add design elements to help make it pop. When it comes to sidebar ads, the image needs to stand out to get seen due to the smaller size. One thing to notice is that the domain is in all caps to help add emphasis. These may be retargeting ads as I regularly shop on their website. If they are, the all caps link makes sense as I’d already be familiar with the brand and it gives it an added emphasis. Conversion Tracking: A Facebook Ads Tutorial | Facebook for Business

The ad copy is solid, but it’s the hero image that really sells the Athos app and “smart” clothing. Almost immediately, it’s reasonably obvious what Athos does, even if you’re only casually familiar with similar apps. A screenshot of the app on its own probably wouldn’t have the same effect on the viewer, whereas the juxtaposition of the two elements of the image together results in a strongly intuitive image. If your business has an offer or event going on at your store, set up a few Facebook Reach ads that appear only to people within a short distance of your store. This is the perfect Facebook ads example because it focuses on the impulse buy. When I saw this ad I originally thought it was an article and clicked on it. Something that pops in this ad is that certain words are written in ALL CAPS. Though some may not like all caps text, it really does capture attention. And truth is, if you’re presenting the right product or offer people will ignore the scammy appearance. The keywords that pop well in this ad is ‘CRAZY comfortable.’ Comfort is something many look for in a shoe so it’s an important keyword and crazy adds an emphasis on how comfortable it really is. And the emphasis on ‘elegant’ and ‘luxurious’ make you feel like you can be comfortable even when dressing up, which is rare, especially in women’s shoes. The picture is also interesting because it breaks down the components of the shoe. This is often found in ads for running shoes but not as common for women’s shoes like heels or in this case flats. Overall, the unique image and the all caps convinced me to stop scrolling and click. How To Stop Ads On FB NewsFeed| 2018| Block Facebook Ads

Text Overlay. ClassPass has taken the opportunity to highlight their catchy tagline by pasting it over their ad’s image, front and center. Don’t set the bar too high: It’s natural that if you’re giving something away for free, you expect to get something in return. But if you ask people for too big of a commitment, they just won’t do it. If SurveyMonkey asked people to take 30 surveys for a chance to win a prize, few would do it — but as they keep the number of surveys low, people will look at it as a fair bargain.
